Early Childhood Education

Bismillah Beginnings is an Early Childhood Program at Rawdatul Ilm Academy, offering academic education based on Ohio’s Early Learning Standards as well as building a strong foundation in Arabic and Islamic Studies.

The students venture on a learning journey throughout their day at Rawda, which includes circle time, read-alouds, Islamic and poetic nursery rhymes, small-group focused learning and building social-emotional skills.

Our students take part in indoor play and nap time.

Bismillah Beginnings – Early Childhood Program at Rawdatul Ilm Academy aims to develop in its students, an awareness of Allah SWT, a love for His Messenger (saw), and an understanding of Islam through stories, play- based learning, and gentle discussions.
The program also aims to build a life-long love for learning by providing standard preschool and prekindergarten curriculum (based on Ohio’s Early Learning and Developments Standards) to prepare the child for Kindergarten socially, emotionally and academically, in an Islamic environment.
The students will be provided with engaging, developmentally- appropriate tasks so they can thrive as learners. The teacher will lead and facilitate the learning process that will foster the child’s confidence and creativity.

Morning meetings and circle time are crucial part of the learning day. The teachers use a hands-on approach to teaching concepts and life-skills with well-defined learning objectives.
